Solar Powered Tring

We want everyone to harness the energy of the sun! Solar Powered Tring wants to accelerate the uptake of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems by residents, community buildings including schools, and businesses in Tring and the surrounding area. Now is a great time to put those panels on!

On this page you will find some things to think about when considering installing solar panels, a link to our survey, upcoming events and some ideas for practical next steps. Whether you are a home-owner, local business, school or church we want to encourage you to think about how you can benefit from the power of the sun to generate renewable energy locally.

Solar Powered Tring is Sustainable Tring’s campaign to tackle climate change and build climate resilience through raising awareness of the power of the sun for businesses and residents of Tring. Throughout the year we will be hosting Solar Surgeries, fun community events, films, speakers and information sharing opportunities to raise awareness about renewable energy in our community and answer your questions.

As you can see, many homes in Tring have already made the switch to solar energy.

If you have panels but we have not marked them to the map, please let us know! Equally, if you’re considering installing solar panels, please get in touch so we can also add this to the picture.
